A commissioned work does not begin with a colour, but with a conversation. You bring a person, an animal, a space, a memory or simply a feeling. From this, an independent original emerges – not a copy of an existing painting, but something that could only become this way for you.
Mingl does not simply translate a photograph into paint. She looks for what makes a subject distinctive: posture, gaze, closeness, atmosphere, a story that should remain within the image.
Concept
Mingl develops a direction for composition, material and impact. The concept creates a clear framework while preserving artistic freedom.
Original
The work is created as a handmade unique piece. Colour, drawing, texture and gold are used where they serve the story – never as a template.
